Pumpkin Paintin' and Carvin' Day

The girls were out of school for Columbus Day/Fair Day this past Monday. We didn't go to the fair because it was raining, however it made a great day to work on pumpkins!
Rylie started hers with a base coat of blue spray paint...
...then added some pink glitter to the wet paint
!

It dried looking purple and sparkly!

Katie Mae had chevron in mind! I helped her draw the zig zag lines and then she got to painting!

During dry time, we had a rock (real rocks from a kit that Aunt Sunny gave her) show started by Rylie and ended by Katie. They were so entertaining telling us the names (good thing the package lists them) and describing each rock.

Carvin' Time...
Daddy took care of the knife parts and the girls did the rest!
 She started with the spoon!

She slowly got her hand in there!

She loves the way it feels...crazy girl!

 Hard at work!

Woohoo...drill time! Rylie wanted a face made from circles...

 Cute!!
 Katie wanted BOO! in circles...

I just did different sized circles.
 TaaaaDaaaa!!!

We love pumpkin paintin'/carvin' day together!!
