Playing Around

Just a some pics and a couple of stories...

One of the girls favorite things to do is play with play-dough!

This is Katie taking my order...she is really into serving food, writing down orders, and then giving us our bill!! She does a really good job too! She'll say "did I get your order right?", "What else can I get for you?" She carries straws and utensils in her apron...and she'll ask "Did you want mac and cheese for the baby?" referring to Rylie, of course!

Rylie thinks this is soo funny! Everytime she puts something on or lets Katie do something to her...she will run straight to the mirror and look at herself...learning from the best, her sister!!

Katie was just relaxing on her horsey just reading all the books she could find!

Rylie is a MESS!

The other day, I was in the office and Katie starts yelling, "Mommy, Rylie spilled the tea" So, I run in there and find that Ryan had gone outside to talk on the phone and left all his paperwork on the table that he was working on...numbers and stuff for a house he his going to build. So, the girls had gotten up there and Rylie spilled his whole glass of tea all over it all. So, I'm cleaning that up and just when I'm taking the last bunch of towels to the laundry room, I heard Rylie in the office...and here is what she looked like...marker all over her arms and the desk chair...all I can say is it is a real good thing she is so cute!

Sandi's Bachelorette Party

This past Saturday night, I went to Sandi's (Ryan's Brother, Justin's Fiance) Bachelorette Party at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine...Sandi's Aunts and Cousin - Susie, Sandi and Adrienne planned it all and did a GREAT job! We had lots of fun and did a LOT of laughing...

This and That

Last night, Uncle Curt (Curtis, Ryan's Brother) came over for dinner and to play with the girls...we later went out and watched Ryan "playing" on his new tractor that arrived yesterday! It's all for work, right?!?! I know, I know Ryan, it will save you money!

This little outfit, Katie bought with her own money. We are now paying Katie a quarter a day to sleep in her bed all night!!! Yes, it is so worth it!!! She knows when she gets four quarters to come trade them in for a $1 and she then gets to buy things at the store that she picks out. She has so much pride in paying herself and saying "I bought this with my own money"!!

Here is Ryan on his tractor! Thankfully, we have an electrical easement to mow, or what would he have gotten to do with the tractor...haha!!

She can also say where her hair, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, tongue, cheek, chin, hands, elbow, toes, feet, legs, arms, belly, and belly button are!

She has really started putting words together too...I was beginning to wonder if she would ever stop grunting and talk!!

She says "hey, hey, hey, hey" to get your attention, which can get a little annoying. She'll say " 'mon, Katie" , "move dada", "tan tu, mommy" and much much more...very cute, of course!

Paul Paul and Gigi's

We spent this past weekend in Marble Falls with Paul Paul and Gigi (Paul and Lisa) and we had a great time...

About 10 minutes after we arrived Paul and Ryan went to play golf, so Me and the Girls just played with toys and Mag until Lisa got home from work...

Here is Katie and Mag...Mag is their dog...she is such a good dog...just lets the kids love all over her!

Buck lets them love all over him too, but is just a LOT more hiper!

Gigi and Katie swimming...Katie loves that pool! She wanted to swim every chance she could!!

Rylie had more fun just playing around the pool with toys, but did get in some, after she got used to it!

Gigi started teaching Katie how to swim, but it is a challenge...since she is scared to death of getting water in her ears. But, Gigi made some good progress, I thought...teaching her how to kick and move her arms with her head above the water!! She, at least got her out of that ring float for a while!

Here, if you look reeaal close, you can see a mama deer and her baby...they have deer cross through their yard everyday -- Katie got a big kick out of that!

Paul Paul and the girls went to feed corn to the deer out by the protein feeder...you can see it all from their porch!

Paul, of course, had to put Ryan to work...I'm just kidding Paul Paul. But, they did build a new tree deer stand out in the woods. They both were bragging it was the best one they had ever built!!

We took the jeep, so the girls had some wheels!! Katie even drove up to Nana's (which is just a little further up the driveway) to tell her Good Morning!
