They both shot their personal best at State!
Katie with a 287 out of 300 and Rylie a 265 out of 300. Katie tied for 2nd place and Rylie got 79th in their division out of 413 Middle School girls.
So Ryan and I weren't able to go and watch since it was First Monday and other commitments, but it turned out to be a good thing and it looks like we're not allowed to watch them shoot any longer during tournaments. Apparently, we provide too much pressure!
We got back to back phone calls from the girls telling us their score. Rylie called first and I was beyond excited for her and then Katie called and we just couldn't believe our ears! so very exciting! At the time, she was tied for 1st place but there was another day of shooters on the 29th. So, she stayed in 1st the entire next day until the very last round when a shooter from Kaufman bumped her and Mia into 2nd. We had so many Mabank Shooters do so well!
Katie's Middle 1 Team shot a State Record of a 3371 which got them 1st Place...State Champions!
Rylie's Middle 2 Team claimed 15th out of 46 teams!
Our Elementary Team placed 7th out of 25 teams!
Our High School Team placed 5th out of 59 teams and Gavin and Jaydon got 3rd and 4th Place!
Thankful that the girls have phones and for good friends, like Keeley, to send pics since we couldn't be there...
