We got the opportunity to go visit Uncle Jay and Aunt Patty in their new home in Conroe, so Grandmother, MamaJan, Katie, Rylie and I loaded up and got on the road.
MamaJan prepared parts of the Texas map for the girls to highlight the route as we traveled the 3 and a half hours. They enjoyed looking for every sign to say the next town and were ready to highlight!
Grandmother liked having one too!
We arrived and went for a tour of their new home and went to lunch at Willie's! Yum...it was good! Uncle Jay and Aunt Patty played Rock, Paper, Scissors with the girls during the wait!
Pretty Ladies...Grandmother, Katie, Aunt Patty and Rylie
Rylie doesn't like it when I braid her hair, but Aunt Patty did it and it's so pretty!
Cousin Aaron and Ty came over and after a little playing ball in the house, we all got ready for a swim!
Such fun in a pretty pretty place!
Katie, Rylie and Ty
WOW!!
We had a great evening laughing and talking! The next morning, we did a little shopping in Montgomery and then the girls wanted to swim some more, of course!
We came back in and went for great dinner at the restaurant in their building. Then, we went to the theater to see Monster's University! It was very cute! After we had a good visit with Chase when he stopped by, it was time for bed.
The next morning, we headed home but made a stop off in Huntsville to take a closer look at the huge Sam Houston statue on the side of Hwy 45. It was Rylie's idea and it was a great one!
Doing a little learning in the visitor's center.
MamaJan and her girls
Wow...it is quite impressive!
Love these four so very much!
We came through Athens and had to stop for lunch at Martin's Cafe where Cheyenne is a server! She did a great job and it was some really good Mexican food!
We're so happy that we got to go on this little trip and spend some fantastic days with some very special people!
