Last Day of School!

We had our last day of school this past Friday! Rylie will be moving onto the 4 year old class for her last year of daycare...Katie has completed her first year of school and will be a big 1st grader next year...(sniff, sniff)We went to lunch with friends from work and their kiddos b/c of early release...Emory and Rylie Katie and Landry!

Landry is so sweet to my girls...she let them put that jacket on her and rock her like a baby...of course they can't get enough of that!

On our way home, Rylie was telling me about her day and was trying to describe a movie to me that they watched. She couldn't remember the title, but she was telling me what happened and started laughing so hard and said "it was just cracking me out"!

The girl is hilarious!

Talent Show...

Our elementary school as a talent show every year, Katie didn't want to perform at first, but her fantastic music teacher, Mrs. Fisher talked her into this little kindergarten performance...she went up with three others and one sang "Mary Had a Little Lamb", then Katie sang "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", another girl sang "You are my sunshine" and then the last one sang "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and this little boy in a spider costume jumped out at them and they all screamed...very cute! She had lots of fun and did great!

Katie's Two Front Teeth...

Snaggle tooth DOUBLED! Katie lost her front two teeth about 2 minutes apart! She says it feels so weird and "I just can't stop putting my tongue in there"! She was very excited to see what the tooth fairy brought!! She has gotten $3 per tooth, but since this was a double doser...tooth fairy left $10! She's saving up for something big, she says!

Track and Field Day

We only got to do a couple of events outside before it started to rain, but here are a few shots from Katie's first Track and Field Day which mostly took place in the gym...she had a great time...

Katie's getting ready for her 400m. relay!

Egg Carry

She got first place in the 50m. dash! She beat them by quite a bit...go Katie! She got second in egg carry and third in the relay!

Butterfly Fly Away...

We had one of those indoor butterfly gardens to watch the caterpillars turn into chrysalis and then emerge to let them go and the girls had such a good time with it...

Baby Chicks

This year, was my first time to hatch chicks in an incubator at school! It was awesome and I can't wait to do it again and again... We hatched 29 chicks out of 35 and it was great!

We had them at home for a couple of days before taking them to their permanent home at my sister's, Holly!

Of course, the girls didn't want to see them go...

Bye Bye to all the CHIRPING!!

Happy Sweet Sixteen, Savannah!

Our niece, Savannah, turned 16 and we had such a fun time at her party...

Sixteen things... The best entertainment for kids...dirt!!

Aaron and Mal provided great music throughout the night!!

Luke was glued to Aaron while he was playing the harmonica! So cute!
