Girls Day Out

This past Saturday Justin and Presley were here and then Dustin and Amanda came over for Dustin to help Ryan with dirt work and they got to bring their niece, Abby. She is adorable and here are a few pics of them playing and having a GOOD time!! Rylie and Uncle Justin

Presley, Rylie, Abby, Amanda and Katie

I know Amanda will love me for this picture of her joining the girls in the little chairs!! She should be proud, though, she's small enough to fit!!

The girls trying to get the ball from Justin! I think he was cheating!

Katie calls this the Chugga Chugga Choo Choo!!!

We're so glad the girls came over, come over anytime!!

Easter at Grandmother's

After Church, we went to Grandmother's for lunch, family time, and an Easter Egg Hunt. Sierra and Katie reading a book.

Rylie taking MamaJan's food...this isn't uncommon for Rylie!

The kiddos, getting ready to hunt...

MamaJan was helping Rylie hunt her eggs. At one point, Rylie was carrying her basket by the "antennas" and all her eggs were falling out as she walked - very funny!

Sierra Anne found the prize egg!!

Look what we found!!

Earlier this week, the girls received a big Easter package from Paul Paul and Gigi with lots of fun goodies - the girls loved pulling it all out - Katie kept saying "look what I got."
MamaJan and Aunt Sunny both gave the girls special Easter surprises! Thank you everyone for the gifts!!
Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!!

Easter at Grani's

When we left Grandmother's, we were off too Grani's
Grani had fun Easter Baskets for the girls... They played in the little bounce house for a while. Rylie thought it was a little too much for her to be in there with the big girls.

Grani let them dye some more eggs before we hid them...

Hunting the eggs... Uncle Justin put a tomato, in the shape of an egg, out for them to find (isn't he sooo funny)...Katie thought he was crazy and kept telling him...no this is a TOMATO.

I have been helping Katie work on learning to write her alphabet...this is where we've gotten so far...I think it looks pretty good...the picture is kind of blurry, though...

Have a good day and a Happy Easter!!

Just a couple of Stories...

Rylie is growing up so fast...she is doing something new and funny all the time.
Baby Dolls are one of her favorite things to play with, she even gets a purse or diaper bag and carries it around on her shoulder while holding her baby in one hand and a bottle in the other.

Grani (Ryan's Mom) taught her to say "duck" and "quack quack" - it is so cute. She loves to point at the ducks out on the water at Grani's house.

She will come up to me or Ryan and make noises with different pitches and move her tongue and mouth for extended amounts of time and then just smile, like she is really telling a story - so cute!

Katie is constantly singing into anything that looks like a microphone - her latest thing is the little container that mini m&m's come in, well Katie was taking a nap, and Ryan and I were both in the living room with Rylie and she had picked up that container and was making singing sounds into that microphone and swaying her little body - I said "Ryan look" and she ran and hid behind the couch like she was embarrassed.

Katie Mae is of course, making us smile all the time too!

Speaking of the microphone, we got her a Hannah Montanna microphone at the store yesterday and hasn't hardly put it down when we're at home. She sings SOOO LOUD, we have to tell her to tone it done some. It is really funny though, she knows some real songs...but normally chooses to sing the songs she makes up - very funny to hear what comes out of her mouth.

Grani got Katie some of those Jelly shoes and when we got home the other night, I was carrying them to her room to put them in her closet and she said "Are those my Jellybeans?"

She is very in to "boy things" and "girl things" like colors and stuff. The other morning she was eating breakfast and just blurted out, "Mommy, do you think I'm pretty and Daddy's handsome?" I said, "oh, yes ma'am"

The other day Katie was watching Tom and Jerry, and just started laughing out loud and looked at me and said "that really cracks me up!"
Hope you are having a great day!!

The Snow Day

Last Friday, was an unusual event for us, and most of you who are reading this. We got SNOW! When we opened the blinds in the morning, we were pleasantly surprised to see all the snowflakes falling and all the grassy areas were white. Silly me thought we could go to our Story-Time at the Library and come back and Presley could play with Katie and Rylie in the snow...but of course it was all melted when we got back! But, they liked watching it out the window - Katie was very excited!!

Hope you had a fun Snow Day too!!
