Every get-together is always great at Grandmother's! This holiday was extra special because we got to enjoy the recent room add-on and deck. Ryan built the deck...he's so talented :)!
Turkeys In Disguise...
Peanut Butter Festival
Couple Tidbits...
Well, the girls love school and their teachers get to tell me lots of cute, funny and embarrassing things that they do...
Rylie passed her little developmental "test" with flying colors!! Last year, she didn't get all of her points because when she was asked her name, she responded with "Windy Preston" and they said, "No, that's your mom's name, what's yours?" She responded again and again with "Windy Preston"...knowing for certain what she was doing all along. Anyway, she's passed that this year.
Rylie is so cute when she changes words to songs, but can still keep the tune and just laughs and laughs at herself. She makes the funniest faces while she's doing it just waiting for you to notice.
She can quickly change the subject when she's in trouble! Wow...she's good at it!!
Rylie was complaining of something hurting when I said "Do you have to tell me EVERYTHING that hurts when it is hurting?" She said "No" and I said, "You think?" and without skipping a beat she says "One time we were at Wal-Mart and I saw a man with a broken leg and my nose was stopped up and I didn't even tell you about it." I said "well, okay then"!
Rylie was getting out of the bathtub the other day and got up real slow like it was hard with a pained look on her face and sad wearily "oh, jelly beans and skittles...oh, jelly beans and skittles." Where does she come up with this stuff???
Katie and I were at the Donut Shop the other morning and while we were waiting for the pig in a blanket, she said thoughtfully from the back seat, "Mexican people must really love donuts." It took me a moment to realize and then through the laughing, I responded "They're not Mexican, their Chinese." Oh...it was soooo funny! I guess that is all she's seen at a donut shop.
Katie has now chased down two boys on the playground to tackle them and kiss them!!! Oh my goodness...I was so embarrassed when I was told!! But, it's kind of funny of course. She swears up and down that it was not on the lips. She said with her finger up and matter of factly, "I have NOT kissed anybody on the lips at school!"
