School Days!

Fyn had so much fun at her special libary visit today with Mrs. Popham...

Then she had two notes in her backpack today from two different boys...

Showered with Love

Rylie doesn't always speak to me so nicely or want to cuddle but she sure makes me lots of perfect things...

This is a spelling test that she gave me...I'm sure glad that I knew them all!
She was mad, though, she said that I should've missed  a couple on purpose:)

Rylie suggested we take our dinner out to the play house to eat...so we did!

Couple Tidbits...

Well, the girls love school and their teachers get to tell me lots of cute, funny and embarrassing things that they do...

Rylie passed her little developmental "test" with flying colors!! Last year, she didn't get all of her points because when she was asked her name, she responded with "Windy Preston" and they said, "No, that's your mom's name, what's yours?" She responded again and again with "Windy Preston"...knowing for certain what she was doing all along. Anyway, she's passed that this year.

Rylie is so cute when she changes words to songs, but can still keep the tune and just laughs and laughs at herself. She makes the funniest faces while she's doing it just waiting for you to notice.

She can quickly change the subject when she's in trouble! Wow...she's good at it!!

Rylie was complaining of something hurting when I said "Do you have to tell me EVERYTHING that hurts when it is hurting?" She said "No" and I said, "You think?" and without skipping a beat she says "One time we were at Wal-Mart and I saw a man with a broken leg and my nose was stopped up and I didn't even tell you about it." I said "well, okay then"!

Rylie was getting out of the bathtub the other day and got up real slow like it was hard with a pained look on her face and sad wearily "oh, jelly beans and skittles...oh, jelly beans and skittles." Where does she come up with this stuff???

Katie and I were at the Donut Shop the other morning and while we were waiting for the pig in a blanket, she said thoughtfully from the back seat, "Mexican people must really love donuts." It took me a moment to realize and then through the laughing, I responded "They're not Mexican, their Chinese." Oh...it was soooo funny! I guess that is all she's seen at a donut shop.

Katie has now chased down two boys on the playground to tackle them and kiss them!!! Oh my goodness...I was so embarrassed when I was told!! But, it's kind of funny of course. She swears up and down that it was not on the lips. She said with her finger up and matter of factly, "I have NOT kissed anybody on the lips at school!"

Couple of little notes...

Katie has learned how to whistle!! She thinks it is so cool that she can do something that I can't!! She is getting so big and grown up. She started All*Star Cheerleading a few weeks ago! She is very excited! She will start her competitions in October. There is one a month until January. I will post a schedule in case anyone would like to join us!
Rylie is just a little fire ball!! She told me the other day "to keep my hands to myself" when I was picking on her. After a few questions, I learned that her teachers have to tell her that a lot at "school" because she won't stop touching everyone and trying to "take care" of them. She thinks everyone is her responsibility!! She can now wink and roll her tongue and sometimes she even does it at the same time...very funny! She can also put her own hair in a pony tail. I don't know why that always amazes me when they figure that out, but it does! She can sing her ABC's so well and almost count to 20...just gets a little mixed up in the teens.
Their conversations between each other are COMICAL! I just wish I remembered to write them all down or even hear everything they say. But, the other day, we were riding in the car and I heard Katie say to Rylie..."It's not all about you" Rylie said "yes, it is all about me" (and this is all with much attitude...believe me...even the head roll). Katie rolled her eyes and said, "the world does NOT suvolve around you!"
Have a great day!!
