Happy Easter 2009

We had a wonderful Easter...we started it off by coloring Easter eggs on Saturday night...we got glitter ones...we are still finding glitter all over everything...

Then the Easter Bunny left some gifts for the girls to find Sunday morning...

They had some special treats at Church with the real story of Easter and why we celebrate...

Then to Grandmother's for lunch and Easter Egg Hunt...

Then Grani, Uncle Curt, Amber and Presley got to come over for some family fun...

Happy Sweet Sixteen, Cheyenne, Aggie Style!

We got to celebrate Cheyenne's Sweet Sixteen with her enjoying burgers, hot dogs, the Bonfire and fun with family and friends...she got a lot of great gifts and people were very creative with the "16 things" that they gave her!

ByeBye Pacifier

Well, it is one week today that Rylie has been without her pacifier! Last Saturday, we went to First Monday and she was being a pain (I mean exerting her independence) and threw her pacifier out of the wagon while throwing a little fit. I didn't realize it until later that night when she wanted it to go to sleep and I couldn't find one anywhere (who knows how many we've gone through). I said, "well you threw it down at First Monday, you lost it so now you don't have one anymore." She said "get one at Wal-Mart" I said, "no, we can't get anymore, you threw it down and you lost it" She went to bed fine that night without it and has mentioned it a few times throughout the week, but when reminded of her throwing it down...she goes on!! Yea! No more pacifier!!

And, she has gone to the potty a few more times...here is a couple pics of her while talking to Grani on the phone...already multi-tasking!

Couple Little Tidbits...

Katie:
The other day we were driving through Canton and she said, "you know Mommy a long long time ago none of this was even here." I said "oh yeah, what makes you think that?" she said "well, all these people had to be born." I said "you're right...what made you think of that, did y'all talk about that at school?" she said "no, I was just thinking about it in my own head."

This past week, Katie has been talking about this little boy at school a lot, Cash! She said that they always sit together and he yells on the playground, "Katie Mae, bet you can't get me!" I asked her if she caught him and she said "yeah, 5 times"!

Rylie:
Rylie has been wanting to go to the potty a lot lately...I guess we're hitting potty-training time...yea!! Anyway, yesterday evening she stripped and said she had to titi real bad...went into the bathroom, pulled the stool over to turn on the light and did, then took off her diaper, pulled the stool back over to get up to the potty and titi'd all by herself! What a big girl!! Maybe she'll just train herself...ha!

When she counts it is usually "123891011", but a few days ago, she said 1-11 all correctly!!!
She knows her whole ABC's and many songs...Twinkle Twinkle, Happy Family, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and I'm A Little Teapot! Maybe more, that's all I can think of now...when we sing them we have to do each one...as soon as we finish one, she says the title of another one we have to sing!
