Soup Day at School!

Everyone was supposed to bring a veggie for the soup today!
Fyn enjoyed putting her ingredient in...

She got to take her soup to go when I picked her up!
Those eyes just show some crying today...I want my bright eyed girl back!

Letter J!

 She enjoyed tumbling today!
She was happy to see me at pick up especially since she had been crying!
Why can't we overcome this?
Anyway, she made a cute J out of jelly beans and I got some of her other work today...

Fyn's Ready!

Fyn's ready for the day and there were no tears at preschool drop-off, just our usual pep talk while getting ready and the during the 15 minute drive. So I was really hoping that today would be our day for the Walmart shopping trip for any prize she wanted BUT when I got there to pick her up, her eyes were all red and puffy and her face was splotchy.  She had been crying.  When I asked her what was going on after we got in the car, she said "I just got nervous."

Fynlie Claire Preston

Praise God! We're on the 8th week of school and this is the first truly happy and smiling picture that I've been able to get the morning of school.  Separation has been rough but we're down to just a few tears streaming down right before and at drop off along with some serious pep talks.  She loves all the awesome activities that the directors and teachers plan each day and they've loved on her unbelievably.  She has so much happy stuff to tell me each day that makes me know that this has been worth it. I know she's had lots of prayers over her and I'm very thankful!

Look who won the smallest pumpkin entry!!

School Day with Tumbling!

Some tears at drop off but happy up until that point and then had a great day! She didn't like TOTS anymore so we stopped that but now there's a tumbling class on Wednesdays and she was excited to try that.  She loved it today with Mrs. Amber. Hooray! Mrs. Kendra sent me these great pictures that put a big smile on my face!

Yay for a Good Day!

Fyn cried on the way (let me tell you that 15 minute drive is brutal for me trying to maintain positive about the constant review of everything that makes all of this "okay") and a little at drop off but then absolutely nothing after I left.  I even looked at the cameras today and during music time, she was dancing and running around with all the kids.  She's never done this before!

Hip Hip Hooray!!

Today was the best day yet! No throwing up, much less crying and no red eyes when I picked her up! She knows that when we have a day of no crying at all, we will go to Walmart when I pick her up and get ANYTHING she wants!! Let's do it!

just singing and dancing around the house tonight to the music on the tv

Better Day!!

Drop off was still rough today but the rest of the day was a big improvement! Most of the teachers told me how well she did and Ms. Caroline even wrote on her daily paper that she didn't cry at all when they were outside playing.  These days will keep me going!

Let me tell you...

Fynlie was so animated and in to this story she was telling me that I had to start videoing! Here's some screenshots of her telling me about a little boy who took his shirt off in class and how the teacher told him to put it back on.  She told me about a little girl who goes around hitting people and then other people start hitting each other. but she said she's never hit anyone there and no one has ever hit her.  When I asked about something good that happened, she told me about her stations in the blocks, fishing and puzzles.  She also told me that she made the letter G and used glitter and glue that starts with G.  So drop off was rough but happy things happen during the day and that helps me smile.  I'm just tired of the constant dark circles around her eyes from all the crying.

Another cute craft from school. Love those little hands!

Missing You

Fynlie got to miss a couple of days of school because of First Monday and then school was out on Monday so she headed back today.  She came up with the bright idea today that I should just be her teacher. Drop off was rough and she is still throwing up when enter the building.  She has so many ladies there that try to pep her up but it's still rough.

Look at that forced smile...she's trying!

On the way home, she told me a couple of stories...
She told me "There's another little girl there that doesn't even miss her mom and I told her that I really do."
When I was asking her about her station at school, she said "I wasn't playing with my friend at our station and I said do you want me to play with you and the little girl said no, you can just talk to your mom on the camera."
She literally looks at the cameras and "talks to me" as often as she can.  At first, I thought that it was a good coping mechanism, now I'm just concerned.

I Just Want to be Fynlie

On the way to preschool today, Fynlie was talking through tears when she said "I just want to be me, I want to just be Fynlie." I told her that she can be Fynlie at preschool. She said "I can't be Fynlie unless I'm with you."
Oh my! These very emotional mornings of pretending to be so happy to keep her happy and hearing these words and watching all the sadness and tears.  I'm not sure how much more I can take of this.
Today is apple day! They were to bring an apple so they could do activities with them. We also brought some pumpkins to enter into the pumpkin contest!

One of the apple activities...using them as a stamp!

She was happy to show me her creation at pick up time!
