On January 29, 2013, Katie and I prayed together and she accepted Jesus into her heart as her Lord and Savior. She was not ready for baptism at the time and so we waited. Recently, she decided that she was ready for baptism. I contacted our church, Crossroads, and Pastor Mark Robinson. He was more than happy to meet with Katie and baptize her in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. She was baptized on January 26, 2014 to represent the sinful self dying and rising to the new life that God has prepared for us. She was so very excited about this. After the baptism, I walked her to the restroom to dry off and change. We looked at each other and both started crying. We didn't say much but it was such a special moment that we shared. At the end of the day, she said that she wished she could do it all over again and she even said that she couldn't wait to tell her friends at school. It was a wonderful day...
