Katie goes to "School"

Today was Katie's first day of Parent's Day Out at a local church here in town. She will be going two days a week. She has been so excited talking about "school" and getting ready for it...but we had a little issue this morning...but she ended up having a wonderful day!!
Here she is before we left holding her nap mat...I made the cover for it and have to admit, it is just adorable and so soft! I had some well else embroider it with her name...
And the little pillow to match...
Here she is with her backpack with a "K" on it in leopard that Aunt Holly and Uncle Tony gave her a while back, but knew she wanted to use just that when I told her that she would need a backpack. And she has her Hannah Montana lunchbox that MamaJan just gave her recently for an early b-day present...

This is her name tag on her desk at school...
This is Katie when she wasn't so happy, but she didn't get happy until a few minutes after I left...I, of course, was waiting outside the door listening until she calmed down...my poor little baby!!!
This is her classroom...it is really cute!

And her she is as happy as can be when I came to pick her up with her terrific teacher, Mrs. Gary!!!

Katie had a really good day and loves her teacher Mrs. Gary.
We were so excited to find out that Mrs. Gary is her teacher, because Mom (Jan) became good friends with this woman as they worked at Victory Christian School together the year before last. Mrs. Gary is very well respected and so loving with the children.
Have a Terrific Day and Leave us a "COMMENT" below!!

Happy 59th Birthday Dad!!

This past Friday was my Dad's (Dennis) Birthday...he turned59...so we took dinner, cake and ice cream out to Mom and Dad's to celebrate!! Then Uncle Ken, Aunt Sherri, J.D, and his girlfriend, Jessie stopped by right as we were about to have cake and ice cream...how convenient!!!!

Then Mom gave Katie her birthday present early, because it included a Hannah Montana Lunch Box for her to take to school (Parents Day Out) that she starts this week!! And of course, as you can see, it also included a Hannah Montana wig that she LOVES very much...

Then Rylie wanted to put it on...this is funny...I don't care who you are...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD and EVERYONE have a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!

Sunday

After Church Sunday, we went to Grandmother's for lunch and to see the progress Aunt Sherri and Uncle Ken were making on their part of Grandmother's Christmas Present...which was giving the hallway a "makeover". They weren't finished yet, when we left...but it was looking real good. It went from a very dark hallway with a dim light to a white hallway with a real bright light that could point down each direction of the hallway...great job Uncle Ken and Aunt Sherri!!

Grandmother and the Girls!

The Hallway...I had a picture of Sherri painting, but at the time I took it, she said "you better not take my picture" ...so I decided not to post it...

And then later in the evening, Grani came over to see the girls...here they are playing in the tent...it's a good thing she's little...

Have A Terrific Day!!!
