Adamcik Family Reunion Weekend

This past Thursday, we headed for Marble Falls to stay the night with Paul Paul and Gigi (Paul and Lisa) before we headed to LaGrange the following day for the Adamcik (Paul's extended family) Family Reunion.

Ryan, the girls and I went with Paul to fill feeders at the Deer Lease right after we got there...here are a couple of pics of the girls on all the protein...

Kodi's Shower/Casey's Graduation

We had a busy weekend last Saturday, the 10th. Not only was it Mother's Day weekend (Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommies!!), but we had my cousin, Kodi's wedding shower at our house and then had her brother, Casey's College Graduation that evening...

Fort Worth Zoo

We went to the Fort Worth Zoo yesterday. This was Katie's first visit while being aware that all of these animals BITE and it was Rylie's first visit awake!! We had a real good time despite there being 80 buses of field trip students (that's no exaggeration). There were groups/lines of kids EVERYWHERE!!

Our New Puppy

Meet Buck,

The Newest Member of Our Family He is so cute!

And we are taking care of 8 more little labs like him - 5 girls and 3 boys, for our friends, Jeremy and Jessica. They are such a pretty white color. If you want one let us know - they're AKC registered and $400 each.

The girls are getting such a big kick out of them!!

Weekend at MamaJan's and PaPa's

This past weekend, Ryan and I and Stephanie (my cuz) went to Burton for a Festival to sell concession food. So, the girls stayed at MamaJan's and Papa's for three nights. They had lots of fun. They collected eggs from the chickens. Worked in the yard raking leaves and the flower beds. Katie said they worked so hard everyday and got really dirty and had to take a bath like everyday. She is so funny.

These are some pictures of Katie's Thankful Book that she made when she went to class with MamaJan's school. Mom had them on Friday, so the girls went to school!! For those of you that don't know, Mom teaches homeschoolers at her house in her newly built on classroom. She has six students and Katie loves to be one of the big kids!! She chose pictures from magazines that represented what she was thankful for and glued them on...

Just a Little Update

Just a couple of stories to start off...

MamaJan has taught Katie the word "congruent" and Katie uses it quite often and quizzes us (me and Ryan). The other day, nothing had been said of the word and we were having a garage sale. There was a basket full of all sizes of pine cones. She pulled two out and said, "Hey Mommy, these are the same shape and same size, they're congruent!" And often times, she will add "and it doesn't matter what color it is." Now, MamaJan has started on symmetrical and asymmetrical. I know I just retaught some of you the word "congruent" - I had to be refreshed too -lol!!

And earlier today, Katie and Rylie were in the office with me (bugging me - just kidding) but Rylie was yelling and whining and Katie was behind me sitting on a plastic file folder blocking Rylie with her leg saying you can't go through until you say "habre" (I don't know if I spelled that right, but it's 'open' in spanish). Of course, Rylie wasn't going to say that and was getting really frustrated!! Thanks DORA for teaching Katie spanish!

A couple of days ago, I had just started rocking Rylie for her nap and I thought I should check her diaper before she went to sleep. So, she's all calm and sleepy and I pulled back her diaper next to her leg to take a little peek and she said "poopoo" and giggled. I found that very funny and that was the first time she said "poopoo." Aren't milestones fun!!
