Our Little Rockstars

Cute Girly Graphics Here are the girls putting their musical skills to work...let me tell ya they were loud and it was funny!!

I have been helping Katie work on learning to write her alphabet...this is where we've gotten so far...I think it looks pretty good...the picture is kind of blurry, though...

Have a good day and a Happy Easter!!

Just a couple of Stories...

Rylie is growing up so fast...she is doing something new and funny all the time.
Baby Dolls are one of her favorite things to play with, she even gets a purse or diaper bag and carries it around on her shoulder while holding her baby in one hand and a bottle in the other.

Grani (Ryan's Mom) taught her to say "duck" and "quack quack" - it is so cute. She loves to point at the ducks out on the water at Grani's house.

She will come up to me or Ryan and make noises with different pitches and move her tongue and mouth for extended amounts of time and then just smile, like she is really telling a story - so cute!

Katie is constantly singing into anything that looks like a microphone - her latest thing is the little container that mini m&m's come in, well Katie was taking a nap, and Ryan and I were both in the living room with Rylie and she had picked up that container and was making singing sounds into that microphone and swaying her little body - I said "Ryan look" and she ran and hid behind the couch like she was embarrassed.

Katie Mae is of course, making us smile all the time too!

Speaking of the microphone, we got her a Hannah Montanna microphone at the store yesterday and hasn't hardly put it down when we're at home. She sings SOOO LOUD, we have to tell her to tone it done some. It is really funny though, she knows some real songs...but normally chooses to sing the songs she makes up - very funny to hear what comes out of her mouth.

Grani got Katie some of those Jelly shoes and when we got home the other night, I was carrying them to her room to put them in her closet and she said "Are those my Jellybeans?"

She is very in to "boy things" and "girl things" like colors and stuff. The other morning she was eating breakfast and just blurted out, "Mommy, do you think I'm pretty and Daddy's handsome?" I said, "oh, yes ma'am"

The other day Katie was watching Tom and Jerry, and just started laughing out loud and looked at me and said "that really cracks me up!"
Hope you are having a great day!!

The Snow Day

Last Friday, was an unusual event for us, and most of you who are reading this. We got SNOW! When we opened the blinds in the morning, we were pleasantly surprised to see all the snowflakes falling and all the grassy areas were white. Silly me thought we could go to our Story-Time at the Library and come back and Presley could play with Katie and Rylie in the snow...but of course it was all melted when we got back! But, they liked watching it out the window - Katie was very excited!!

Hope you had a fun Snow Day too!!

Won't You Be My Valentine

Happy 50th Anniversary Jim and Jenny Lee

This past weekend we went to Cisco to celebrate Papaw and Nenaw's (Ryan's Mom's Parents) 5oth Wedding Anniversary!!
We had a really good time with family members that we don't see often! The girls met cousins they didn't know they had!
Getting Ready...

These are Jenny Lee's shoes, Bible, and guest book from their wedding 50 years ago!

The cakes were so pretty!

Sloan and Katie were big helpers!

The weather was perfect and playing outside was a big highlight for the kiddos. They would go back and forth from bubbles to the Jeep!

Singing and old song that someone rembered!

Time to Eat - the food was so good! Tons of snacks and great BBQ sandwiches with coleslaw, potatoe salad, beans - Excellent!

Uncle Curt and Rylie

Aunt Susan and Katie Mae - Katie Mae was really sleepy by the end of the day!

Congratulations You Two!!

Hannah Montanna

Today I took Katie to see the Hannah Montanna Movie in 3D. The 3D made it pretty cool, it was like she was standing right in front of you singing. Anyway, Katie is just crazy about Hannah Montanna/ Miley Cyrus and just sang along with the songs and danced in the walkway - it was very cute!
This was all Ryan's idea to take her - isn't he a sweet Daddy!!
BTW - She was so excited to where her new Hannah Montanna T-shirt to the movie. She couldn't stop smiling!

Library Day

Last Friday we went to the local library for Children's Reading Day! Volunteers come to the library and read to the kiddos. Then, they have a craft to go along with the books...
Amber and Presley came to join us...the girls had a good time!

The theme for the day was silly faces, so they got to make a silly face out of a paper plate and other funny crafts.

I was trying to get them to hold it up and show me, but neither one were really cooperating happily!!

Then they played for a little while in the play area and we checked out our books and went to McDonald's for lunch. The girls had so much fun playing together!! This will have to be our "Friday Thing"!
