A Little Story...

This is a little conversation we had on our way home from school today...

Me: Listen up, little girl!

she looks at me intently in the rearview mirror

I will love you forever!

she smiles

Me: Listen up, little girl!

You will always be my baby and when you move to college at A&M, I'm going to move to College Station with you.

She shakes her head no!

Me: Listen up, little girl!

When you get married, I'm going to move into your house with you!

She shakes her head no even harder!

Me: Listen up, little girl!

When you have a baby, I'll be there to help you take care of her!

She smiled and started shaking her head with approval and pointed at my and said "now that's something you CAN do!"

I cracked up!!

Cutie Pie did great on her report card!

That's our RyRy

Rylie Grace keeps us on our toes and life is just better with her in it!
Her "fortune"...You are sociable and entertaining!
Cutie Patootie!

Rylie wrote some stories and then typed them up while at MamaJan's.  She found pictures on the internet to add to the story and colored them.
She's a great little story teller...

The Originals...

A note that was sent home from Rylie from the school counselor!

Just a couple of stories...

There are so many stories about the girls, I just never get on here to write them...bad Mommy!!
The past week or so, Rylie will come to Ryan or myself saying "Katie is giving me a headache, she's getting on my nerbs (nerves) and she won't stay out of my business!" We can't help but bust out laughing!!
Katie loves to make everyone feel equal and loved. If she is sitting in my or Ryan's lap, she will ask Rylie to go sit in the other one's lap...so they are not lonely. So sweet!!
The other morning, Ryan made breakfast and the girls were eating. Rylie said "Eggs make me stronger! I have to eat a bunch of eggs cause I wrestle Katie so much!" If you haven't seen this, it is hilarious! If Katie can run first, Rylie can't catch her, but if Rylie does get her...Katie can't get up. Rylie locks her legs, feet and arms around her and holds her down...so funny!! She watches too much UFC with Ryan!! I swear she uses the exact moves and Ryan can even commentate!!
One More...
Last night, the girls were helping me grade papers...they get to put the stickers on the ones that make good grades. They ask me the name on EVERY paper. Well, Katie was trying to sound out the name and couldn't quite get it, so I told her "Octavio." She said "Oh, that sounds like a Spanish word." Then Rylie pipes in and says "Do we live in Mexico?"
If I wasn't impressed enough that Katie could recognize sounds that belong to the Spanish language, I was really impressed that Rylie knew that Spanish speakers come from Mexico. How in the world does she know that?
Have a great day!
Don't forget to leave comments and tell us how you're doing!

Couple of Stories...

Well discipline has gotten interesting around here with Ms. Rylie Grace!
The other day, Ryan had to give her a spaken after telling her to do something and then she turned around to him and shook her finger at him and said "Daddy, don't talk me like dat!" with big eyes and a demanding voice. After her spanking, she came over to me whining, pulled down her pants AND her diaper, turned around and said "kiss it"! SOO FUNNY, Ryan and I just busted out laughing!!
Katie has been separated at "school" from her good little friend for talking too much and not paying attention (just like me when I was in school)!! She is doing great though, she can write every letter when just told what letter to write and can sound out many letters and then write the letter. We're working on spelling her own words by sounding them out!
She is constantly asking "how do you spell ____?". So, we have to spell out all the words and she writes...well, the other day she stopped on the letter M and said "start at the top or bottom?" and Rylie blurted out "up down up down, Katie" I was floored, but she's heard it enough times!! Katie looked at me in disbelief and then said "did you hear that?" :)

Just a couple of Stories...

Rylie is growing up so fast...she is doing something new and funny all the time.
Baby Dolls are one of her favorite things to play with, she even gets a purse or diaper bag and carries it around on her shoulder while holding her baby in one hand and a bottle in the other.

Grani (Ryan's Mom) taught her to say "duck" and "quack quack" - it is so cute. She loves to point at the ducks out on the water at Grani's house.

She will come up to me or Ryan and make noises with different pitches and move her tongue and mouth for extended amounts of time and then just smile, like she is really telling a story - so cute!

Katie is constantly singing into anything that looks like a microphone - her latest thing is the little container that mini m&m's come in, well Katie was taking a nap, and Ryan and I were both in the living room with Rylie and she had picked up that container and was making singing sounds into that microphone and swaying her little body - I said "Ryan look" and she ran and hid behind the couch like she was embarrassed.

Katie Mae is of course, making us smile all the time too!

Speaking of the microphone, we got her a Hannah Montanna microphone at the store yesterday and hasn't hardly put it down when we're at home. She sings SOOO LOUD, we have to tell her to tone it done some. It is really funny though, she knows some real songs...but normally chooses to sing the songs she makes up - very funny to hear what comes out of her mouth.

Grani got Katie some of those Jelly shoes and when we got home the other night, I was carrying them to her room to put them in her closet and she said "Are those my Jellybeans?"

She is very in to "boy things" and "girl things" like colors and stuff. The other morning she was eating breakfast and just blurted out, "Mommy, do you think I'm pretty and Daddy's handsome?" I said, "oh, yes ma'am"

The other day Katie was watching Tom and Jerry, and just started laughing out loud and looked at me and said "that really cracks me up!"
Hope you are having a great day!!

A Couple of Funny Stories

I'll start with Katie.
The other day, I was sitting in the floor and Katie came to me and laid her head in my lap and said "I love you" then I said "I love you too", then she said "I love God", I responded with "me too", then she said "and I love Sparkly things". I just started laughing, and thought that was about right with her - ranking sparkly things right up there with me and God.

Rylie has been wanting to take off to the kitchen now - any chance she can get and "get into" whatever looks fun. So, we have these glass front drawers with different things in them like beans, noodles...to show color. Of course, they look fun to Rylie and she wants them...bad!
So, I was cooking, and she had been trying to get over there and she had been getting the handle, so I kept saying "No" and moving her away. Well, with her persistence she finally got a handful of little tiny beans. So, I spatted her hand a couple of times and told her "no" and moved her to the edge of the living room and she was crying and crying and crying...with really bad hurt feelings and she finally stood up still crying and looking at me, she took a few steps towards me, then reached in her mouth and handed me one last tiny little bean. It was like she surrendered! It was very funny after it was all over!
