Rylie Grace's First Birthday Party

We had such a good time at Rylie's party. Thanks to everyone who came and ate fajitas, made smores, and watched all the kiddos play with us. Thanks for all the great presents too - she made a haul!! Rylie had a great time! She was wiped out and slept really well that night! We had her pictures taken last week at a Studio here in Canton - she did really well, until I turned my back to her and took two steps away to get a little bracelet I brought - then we were done taking pictures b/c she wouldn't let me set her down without her crying (hence the middle picture).

Now party time...
Aunt Peggy made the cake - beautiful and tasty as always!

Happy First Birthday Party Rylie!

A Couple of Funny Stories

I'll start with Katie.
The other day, I was sitting in the floor and Katie came to me and laid her head in my lap and said "I love you" then I said "I love you too", then she said "I love God", I responded with "me too", then she said "and I love Sparkly things". I just started laughing, and thought that was about right with her - ranking sparkly things right up there with me and God.

Rylie has been wanting to take off to the kitchen now - any chance she can get and "get into" whatever looks fun. So, we have these glass front drawers with different things in them like beans, noodles...to show color. Of course, they look fun to Rylie and she wants them...bad!
So, I was cooking, and she had been trying to get over there and she had been getting the handle, so I kept saying "No" and moving her away. Well, with her persistence she finally got a handful of little tiny beans. So, I spatted her hand a couple of times and told her "no" and moved her to the edge of the living room and she was crying and crying and crying...with really bad hurt feelings and she finally stood up still crying and looking at me, she took a few steps towards me, then reached in her mouth and handed me one last tiny little bean. It was like she surrendered! It was very funny after it was all over!

Gig 'Em

For everyone who doesn't know the Aggies and longhorns played last night, and for the second year in a row the
Aggies 'sawed those horns off'
So, for all my fellow Ags - Gig 'em and for all the others:
sorry 'bout your bad luck!!

Thanksgiving Day

We got dressed to go to Grandmother's for Thanksgiving and Katie said '"Are you going to take our picture?" I've warped her, I guess!! So what did we do-we went outside to take pictures - haha!! It was really cold, so we didn't stay out long!

We had such a good time at Grandmothers, there were lots of family and lots of good food!!

This is Grandmother (my mom's mom) MamaJan (my mom) and Rylie!

This is Hallie (our little cuz)!

Here are some of the kiddos all playing together - isn't that sweet!
Ty, Hallie, Katie, and Desirae

Rylie and Hallie

Ty and Katie love each other very much! They both talk about one another all the time!

Katie and Hallie

Desirae is ready for Christmas with her antlers on!!

Ty loves to say "on your mark, get set, go" and takes off - Katie was like okay I guess I'm supposed to run now so off she went...

They were all so good playing together, taking turns, and coming up with new things to do all by themselves!

Ty thought of getting in the wheelbarrow, so he did and the girls just started pushing away!

Then Jason pushed them all!

Kodi and her little cuz Hallie!

Desirae just loves horses - so she and Katie spent some time petting the horses!

They were getting so cold, we needed to go in, so we said we would play a game to get them to go in. As soon as we got inside, Ty and Katie said "what game are we going to play?' So, Aunt Patty came up with BOWLING. Empty coke cans make good pins and an onion makes a good ball. They enjoyed that for quite a while! Katie kept score on a paper plate! We had a really good day!
Since Ryan went hunting, we spent the night at MamaJan's and helped put up her Christmas tree the next day. Katie had just as much fun with that one as she did ours!!

Visit to Cisco and Our Christmas Tree Goes Up

We went to visit Nenaw and Papaw and Allison (Ryan's Moms parents and sister) in Cisco this past week. I only got pics of Katie and Nenaw making cookies cause I forgot to take my camera out when we drove around the property - Katie got to feed the fish in the tank and put out corn for the deer - she thought she was big stuff! We really enjoyed our visit with them.

It's time for Christmas ... almost!
We got out all the Christmas stuff and then Ryan had to eventually grab Rylie and make a wall of himself to keep her out of all the stuff - but we got a few pics first...
By the way - that little girl walks more than she crawls now - of course, her preference is to be held by me - haha!

Katie loved helping decorate the tree, she put on the first ornament and just kept on going until they were all used!

Grani gave us this big snowman last year, Katie thinks it should stay inside so she and Rylie can play in it like a tent - so it probably will!!

Playing Around

The girls are loving their swingset - we go out and play just about everyday!! Grani brought Presley over a few days ago and they all got to play together- they really enjoyed it!

Katie loves pushing Rylie almost as much as swinging herself!
