Superintendent Star Student

We got notified that Fynlie had been chosen to receive Superintendent's Star Student Award and to be at the School Board Meeting!

I didn't record because really, I thought that it would be pretty standard things said about each kid but when Fynlie's Principal, Mrs. Bolton, continued reading all these wonderful things that she had compiled from Fynlie's teachers, it really blew me away! What a special kid I have and what special teachers she has that go out of their way to notice and nominate her for such an award! We feel honored!

Day 2/3 of 5th Grade!

I love that Mabank starts on a Wednesday so it's a short week to break back into the routine!

It's Friday!! She loves the Intermediate and I'm so thankful!

1st Day 5th Grade!!

My Fynlie Claire is finished with Elementary and going to the Intermediate School today! This building houses all the 5th and 6th graders in Mabank ISD so she'll be meeting more kids and going to 8 class periods a day. This will be a big change and she's a little nervous but mostly excited!

She's 10, in fifth grade and wants to be a speech pathologist!

I made her an easier-to-read schedule that was color coded to line up with her building map:)

She was happy about that!

We love our 5th grader!!

Drop Off...she wanted me to walk her in but as soon as we got to her classroom, she saw so many kids already...she wanted me to go quickly but I had to chat with Mrs. Minshew for a sec because we're friends:)

We were so thankful that she got Mrs. Minshew for Reading and Homeroom...I know she's in great hands!

MamaJan rode with me for after school pickup! Fynlie was all smiles about her day and loved seeing MamaJan!! Then we went for a fun treat at CHILL and got to see the cutest worker...our Rylie Grace!!
