On Thursday, January 27th at 5ish AM, I got a call from my friend, Judy asking me to take her to the Methodist Hospital in Dallas for her new kidney!!
Judy's been on dialysis for 6 years and has been waiting for this day with such hope!
Her family was out of town that normally would've been delighted to take her. I am so thankful that I was next on the list because I couldn't get out of the bed fast enough, make plans for the girls to get to and from school to get my friend to her new kidney!
We had hours to talk while waiting on all the final tests to be done and the results to come back for the final go ahead for surgery. It was a wonderful time together to rejoice and pray.
While in surgery, her sister-in-law, Pat arrived and I left but knew she was in good hands! The surgery was successful and her kidney is working wonderfully! Praise God!!
