Remembering Corky

We were heartbroken to learn that Corky passed away.  We first met Corky when he was working at the gym where I used to do Crossfit.  He was so kind to everyone but really invested in the children of those working out.  During the summer, he would have little treats for them and such.  When it was time to go back to school, he planned a little party for all the kids with balloons, colorful tablecloths, activities and treats.  Katie and Rylie thought he was the best!! When Fynlie was born, he and Tammy got her a special gift and we would go by and visit at the gym.  Corky and Tammy attended Rylie's baptism which made it even more special as well a few other special events.  Then when Corky got sick with cancer, the girls and I would go to their house and visit occasionally.  He was a very special person to us as well as Tammy.  He will be missed.

Rylie's Baptism

It was such a special day for our family as we got to experience Rylie making her public profession of faith through baptism. She accepted Jesus into her heart on April  2017 when she prayed with MamaJan and we were so happy to find our new church home for her to feel comfortable being baptized.  Pastor Andre asked Rylie if she wanted to say anything from the baptistery and she laughed and quickly said no. We had several family members and friends come to celebrate with us. It was a very cold and icy morning so not everyone got to come that wanted to.
