 We got to come to Marion to visit Chase, Toni, Casten and Wren and go to Chase's Annual Hunting Banquet...

Fyn helped pass out door prizes!

Guided Hunt in Kingsbury!

 For our family Christmas gift, we got to travel down to Kingsbury for a guided hunt with our good friend, Chase! Rylie got an awesome Black Buck, Katie got a big Fallow and I got my first animal ever, an amazing Whitetail!! Later that evening, I got a pig too! We so enjoyed our time away with one another and the little puppy too! It was a bonus to see the Moltz family too!! 

We arrived and got settled in...

She's an adorable little nuisance!! 

Fyn and I stayed at the cabin for the evening hunt while Rylie went out with Ryan and Katie went out with Chase to hunt...

It was long at all, when Rylie made a perfect shot on a black buck with her crossbow!

 

Katie dropped this Fallow with a perfect rifle shot right in its tracks!

Next Morning...time for Ryan and I to go out for a hunt...

He and Aggie were a little sleepy this morning! 

Well it happened! The buck we were waiting for came out and I made the shot! I was so nervous about my first kill, that I immediately thought that I had missed and started crying.  I didn't want to disappoint Ryan and I certainly didn't want to wound an animal.  Then Ryan said "No, I think you got him because he ran and the others didn't" (they ran a little but not all the way out of the field). I started feeling better and we went out to look for sign.  Finally, Ryan found these little drips so we followed into the woods a step or two and then lying about 30 yards from the kill spot was this big ol' whitetail! Our tracking job was easy and then we were excited together!!

Ryan had most of the luck but I guess that's okay since he didn't hunt with a weapon this trip...

It happened again! A group of pigs came to the feeder and I shot this one right in the ear!
