New York City

For several years now; Kodi, Stephanie and I have been taking an annual cousin trip! At some point, someone said "we should go to New York at Christmas and take our moms!" So... we did just that and I am so thankful that I got to have this time and experience with my mom! It was such a great trip with lovely ladies, perfect timing for our itinerary and mostly great weather!

Day 1 was for traveling, Chelsea Market, Hudson Yard and the Vessel!

DFW was decorated for Christmas!

We had an hour delay but that's our only hiccup and since we had no reservations for day 1, it didn't mess up a thing! Here we go!!!
We made it!
Oh...our ride to the hotel was a bit of a hiccup but 2 Ubers later, we had it under control!

The Manhattan Club has a fantastic location!

Got settled in our rooms...Aunt Shirley brought Christmas lights and snacks!!

So excited for this trip!
We went out for a walk to the Christmas Cottage Store and then took an Uber to Chelsea Market...

Got our turtledoves!

The fanciest Uber...had Stephanie's name lit up on an ipad:)

Chelsea Market is so cute!

I sent this photo to Ryan...this was his favorite lobster roll when we were here years ago!

We took a walk to Hudson Yard to check out the Christmas decor...

Vessel...such a cool building!

The "themins" went out for a late-night snack...yummy pizza at Ray's!

Day 2 was for a Pedicab tour through Central Park, the Rockettes, Rockefeller Center and Top of the Rock!
First we took a walk for breakfast and to see Tiffany's with our pastry...

Breakfast at Tiffany's

The coolest building, the Louis Vuitton!

Pedicab tour with "Night Your NYC Guide" and they were so good! They kept our two cabs right together the entire time, they were funny and informative and took lots of pictures!

The Plaza!

The Bridge in Home Alone!

Beetles' Imagine Tribute

Bethesda Fountain Tunnel

We were dropped off just a block away from our lunch spot...Sarabeth's!

The chicken pot pie was just as delicious as I remember it!
The cookies weren't great;)

On our walk to Radio City Music Hall, we spotted the old, checkered cab by the Hilton...

So excited for the Rockettes...

Just Excellent!

After the Rockettes, we went to check out the Tree and Rockefeller Center...in the rain!

The Saks light show was pretty!

Beautiful Cathedrals

Took a walk through the Diamond District to go visit Times Square but decided to take a U-turn and go to Sean's Irish Pub and back Rockefeller Center to go to the Top of the Rock!

Top of the Rock Observation Deck was good, but it would've been more fun with no rain:)

Mom opted out of this one...it was a bit windy up there!

Our classic I-beam photos...

Part of the group went back to the room, but Aunt Shirley, Kodi and I went to find dessert...we found Serendipity in Times Square!

Made it back to the room to find Steph in her classic sleep position...haha!

Day 3 was for the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, Wall Street and the Dinner Cruise!

Our ferry to Liberty and Ellis Islands...it was definitely the coldest and windiest day!

What a special experience to be this close to Lady Liberty!

Mom was so impressed with being on Liberty Island!

We went to the pedestal level of the Statue of Liberty and had a 360 view!

Ellis Island

We had fun watching the action at Justino's Pizzeria and the pizza was yummy too!

Such a cute area in the financial district!

We made it to Pier 11 to ride the ferry over to DUMBO!

DUMBO/Brooklyn

The view of Manhattan Bridge from Washington Street

DUMBO Archway

Fun Stuff!

Walking the Brooklyn Bridge from Brooklyn to Manhattan...

We found a Starbucks to warm up and then continued on to Wall Street...

I thought it was neat that this building is the same age as Grandmother.

We made it over to the Harry Potter store for Steph!!

The Flatiron Building was nearby...

We walked on to 34th Street to find the double decker Christmas Carousel and it was adorable!

Found the Macy's from Miracle on 34th Street!

Cab ride to Pier 40 for the Dinner Cruise!
We had to squeeze in:)

We cruised around the Hudson River, listened to Christmas music, chatted, had the buffet and took in the night views!
We had a great time, and the food was yummy!

Nighttime View of the Statue of Liberty!

This is Malibu Farm...from the water at night and lit up for Christmas!
We ate at this restaurant for Katie's bday lunch when we were here in September!

We got off the dinner cruise to find it snowing!!

Day 4 was for walking 5th Avenue, Grand Central Terminal, Times Square and traveling home...

Trump Tower was decorated beautifully...

Grand Central Terminal is a site to see!!

They got a kick out of the whisper room!

Times Square!!
Times Square!

The ball will be dropping here in a few weeks!

Times Square's Krispy Kreme has the Big Apple Donut and it's delicious!

Our last stop was lunch at Lillie's Victorian...

Back to the hotel for our luggage and our ride to the airport...

We facetimed the Birthday Girl to sing to her while at the airport! She's 95 and just a smiling!
We love Grandmother!
We flew into the sunset and made it home safe and sound!
