The girls were really wondering when Mr. Popples would return to us this year!
He joined us on December 1st! He brought a note from "Elf Headquarters," the Elf on the Shelf book and some powdered donuts for breakfast as we found him taking a fun bubble bath of marshmallows in our ONLY bathroom sink. Poppy and Gigi were even staying with us and he made them have to use the kitchen sink for brushing teeth and face washing...so inconsiderate!!
Day 1
Rylie just had to touch him on the very first day...that girl!!! Well, that is against the rules and could cause the Elf's magic to disappear.
So, I emailed Santa at the North Pole. He wrote back the same evening that he would send us some magic sprinkle dust. So, we were super excited to find it in the mail December 2nd...a Sunday!!
Day 2
So, we received the magic sprinkle dust along with a note from Santa. He told Rylie that if Jesus can forgive us of all of our sins, then he can forgive her for disobeying as well!
They sprinkled Mr. Popples before bed and hoped that it worked by the next morning!
Day 3
It worked! He came with another note and surprise. The girls had to plant the peppermint kisses in the sugar to see what would grow!
They planted some and ate some!
Katie had to write him a little note back...
The next day, a great surprise...he's resting on the kleenex box and we see that candy canes grew!!
