Dianne's Memorial

This past Saturday, January 11th, we had a memorial time for Dianne. We remember her as a sweet mother, a fun mother-in-law, a loving grandmother and a generous woman. It was a sad day but think she would be very pleased with her place to rest in Cisco on family land overlooking the pond. We had a time of remembrance at the sight and also while watching a video montage of pictures throughout her life.

This jar is something that all three boys remember her having their entire lives and thought it was fitting for her cremains.

Dianne loved exploring rocks and finding unique ones.
Curtis found this rock shaped as a heart days after her death. He then had it engraved. It turned out perfectly.

I was somewhat uncomfortable with this smiling picture but believe that it is great to remember their Grani with a smiling face as they think of all the wonderful times.

Class Picture Time

Baby Cooper Time

I had another week with Cooper! He's too cute and too happy not to take pics...

Our Girlies

Couple of Stories:
While in the car, Rylie says "Will you turn it (the radio) up 12 inches?" We just crack up laughing who asks that?! She's so silly!

While eating dinner, Rylie asks someone to tell a story, so Ryan says "I know a little girl that talks a lot. Do you know who I'm talking about?" Rylie says "Probably me cause everyone says that."

While in the car, I was trying to talk to Ryan and Rylie kept yelling about a song she wants to play on her ipod. I say, "You are yelling and I'm trying to talk to Daddy." She says "Well, I can't really hear my own voice so I don't know that I'm yelling!" Before she could quite finish, Katie says "Wellll that explains A LOT!" We all crack up. Rylie can hear fine, she's just a mess and Katie totally has her number in all her little manipulations!

A couple of Katie's beautiful creations!

A couple of Rylie's beautiful creations!

Oh this girl!! She has won at Aggieopoly, Monopoly, and Princessopoly every single time but once that we've played. She's LUCKY!!

She says "I'm gettin' ALL the money!"

 Cuties!

Rylie loves to read and just tested at school on a DRA Level 28 which is the level at which 2nd graders are expected to end the school year. She's in 1st grade at mid-year! She was so excited about this and I am too! This is her reading a 3rd grade level Junie B. Jones book! She loves Junie B!!

They like their new Mabank Panther sweatshirts!

Making French Toast...
It turns out that they've learned to do this all by themselves at MamaJan's house and I'm pretty impressed! They love being independent and enjoyed me letting them make french toast independently the other morning.

Love my girlies!!
