MamaJan, Papa and Aunt Sunny took Katie to her soccer game during First Monday. It was pretty chilly and windy but they had a good game and watched Katie get assist her teammate with a goal!
Pumpkin Pickin'
Aunt Holly and Uncle Tony invited the girls and Luke to come pick pumpkins from their pumpkin patch that they grew this year. The pumpkins never turned orange which was really neat for Katie and Rylie because they could connect it to this book we have from an author's visit to school 2 years ago, The Christmas Pumpkin. So they went with Aunt Holly to have some pumpkin pickin' fun one afternoon while Ryan and I were working at First Monday. Sierra and Jonathan were right along their side for help...
They had such fun and got so much enjoyment out of telling me about every pumpkin. Rylie was particularly loving the baby pumpkin that she found.
We read The Christmas Pumpkin that evening at bedtime and they plan to save a couple of these green pumpkins to carve as it gets closer to Christmas as the boy does in the story.

We, again, had the best time with our friends, The Grooms, The Smiths, The Shipps and The Brackenridges, going around on a hayride in the Country Club!
