Santa Claus Came to Town...

Katie and Rylie got ready for Santa to visit them the night of Dec. 23rd. Santa visits them a day early since we always are at MamaJan's and Papa's the morning of Christmas.

They set out the cookies and hot chocolate...

...and sprinkled out some food for the reindeer too!! Katie made some at school!

And this is what they found the following morning...the cookies were crumbs, the hot chocolate was just about gone, the stockings were full and there was a note from Santa, himself.

It read...

They were rather surprised that Santa had written them a note and Katie kept commenting that he has such good handwriting and that he must have practiced a long time!!

So, we decided they would open their stockings and we would all bundle up to head over to the property where the gift was waiting...

As we were driving up the driveway...they were overjoyed with what they saw...

Ryan had built this amazing playhouse for them with them having NO idea!! They were elated!!

They opened the door to find a new pink couch, a table with chairs, and a kitchen from Santa!!

Now, they're ready to paint the walls...they have all kinds of crazy ideas for that!!

Nice job Daddy and Santa!!

Our annual family girls night out was a big hit at Aunt Sherri's house. She and her daughter, Stephanie, made all kinds of wonderful food for us and were the perfect hostesses...
