We had the best Spring Break Trip to Colorado!
We had lots of firsts...everyone's first time to see that much snow, ski, snow tube, go on a horse sleigh ride and sled except Ryan.
The time with our family was incredible! It's awesome for the girls to share these experiences with cousins!
We tried something new...leaving at 10:00 at night. Ryan slept for several hours before we left so he did his job and the rest sort of worked but I couldn't sleep like I was supposed to and the girls didn't quite either. So, I don't think we'll be doing it again.
We met up with Justin, Sandi and the girls for breakfast in New Mexico!
It's daylight of Day 1 and the landscape is certainly changing!
It got a little nerve racking the closer we got. I was driving at this point. Ryan didn't sleep much because the snow started coming down pretty thick, the roads were icy in parts and we were in traffic and a new place. I managed but my heart was racing!
We made it to the house!
The driveway was steep, layered with ice and snow. We made it in after a few tries☺
Curt, Nat and Sawyer were a few hours behind. The weather got worse and they went a different route.
The house was nice and big...
They couldn't wait to get out and play in this snow!

Fynlie had had enough when the snow fell into to the top of her jacket and made it down her neck and back. She was ready to come in!
Justin was getting his stock pile of snow balls ready and he let them have it!

As quickly as we could, with 13 people and various bus routes, we made it to our pick up spot for the Horse Drawn Sleigh Ride!
Our guide was awesome, the views were amazing and the information was great!

We got back to the house, got changed and headed out for dinner!
It took us a bit to get the bus routes down but we really enjoyed it for getting around with all these girlies and our cumbersome wardrobes!
Day 3...Skiing!!
Uncle Curt and Aunt Nat stayed home with Sawyer and Fynlie on Ski Day while the rest of us went out to give this a try...
Lunch first...
Okay, well this was a weird feeling when my skis hit the snow...eek!!
That's the way me and all the kids felt.
Somehow, it had been like 28 years since Ryan had skiied but he was totally good. Justin and Sandi were awesome!
It didn't help that we went straight to a green that I thought was a bunny slope..ugh!
Rylie struggled at first but got it down quick and went on down that mountain. Katie and Presley struggled a little more but made progress on the bunny slopes and did some bigger stuff later.
After falling many times because I was headed straight to the trees and drop off and that's the only way I could stop, I decided to take the skis off, walk back up the slope while my lovely family members rode above me on the ski lift coming back to the top.
So, I stayed with Makenzi, Libby, Katie and Presley and the got pretty good in the learning area and I tried a little bit more and then decided that was going to be the end of my skiing experience. So I hung out with Makenzi and Libby while everyone else went off to bigger and funner things☺
The snow storm came in and it was beautiful!
Back home with my baby and Curt, Nat and Sawyer as they were preparing dinner for everyone!
Right after this pic, Curt burned all his fingers in hot oil and we felt terrible for him. He was in lots of pain but still had a good time the next day!
I took the girls down to the community hot tub and heated pool right down from the house...

Day 4...Sight Seeing in Keystone and Sledding!
Fynlie saw this mascot and headed straight for him!
We kept wearing this girl right out!
This was awesome!
We got some little sleds from a local store and the girls went up and down this slope countless times! There were lots of laughs!

We made it to Capulin, NM where we visited out favorite Country Store and got to visit with Nenaw! Papaw had left with Curt and Natalie an hour or so before we arrived. The girls would sure love to help Nenaw work the store if we lived closer.
Very late and very delicious dinner in Amarillo!
Drove home the next day!
It couldn't have been a better trip! We loved it so!
