We had planned a surprise visit to New Mexico to see Grani, Nenaw, Papaw and Aunt Allison the Saturday after Christmas, but due to the news of Grani the Thursday before, our trip got cancelled. Then we all (Justin, Sandi, Curt and Natalie and our family) decided to go and visit and also get Grani's things that she had there. While there were many tears, we also had some good moments.
We stopped here in Amarillo for lunch. It was a very neat place. Ryan has memories of going here once or twice with his Nenaw when he was a little boy. He has many memories of going to New Mexico every summer to spend time with his grandparents and work in their Capulin Country Store and Restaurant (at the time).

At the base of this mountain, sits the Kennedy's hunting lodge that we stayed in. I didn't get any indoor pictures this time, but it is really great.

Here's the Volcano about 1 mile from the Capulin Country Store. It was closed to tourists on January 1st when we were there, but we'll have to go back for another visit.
