Walt Disney World - Day 1

July 2nd, 2012

Well, Ryan and I have been planning this Walt Disney World trip for quite a while now, but have been telling the girls that we would be going to Disney World when they were 7 and 9 (2 years from now) because we just thought those would be the perfect ages. In reality, we thought 5 and 7 were the perfect ages and we wanted to go this Summer as a SURPRISE! So, I've secretly been buying things for the trip and secretly packed our bags while the girls were with mom, the day before we left and hid them under a blanket in the back of the car.
Thankfully they didn't look back there and see the blanket when I picked them up because they are completely nosy and would've aksed a thousand questions!!
So, the girls have never flown before, so the night before I told them that we would drive to the airport and see the planes take off and land because they've never gotten to see that before. They were completely excited. I told them that I just found theses cute shirts with the minnie mouse ears at First Monday and thought that they should wear them.
They still have absolutely no clue!!
So, we get there and get out of the car and I bring them over and Ryan videos me telling them that we really came to the airport because we were all fixing to get on an airplane and fly to Florida to spend at week at Disney World!! Katie became very excited and Rylie said "you're trickin'" We had to open the car and show her the luggage before she would beleive us!
So, they're now ready and excited!!

We got all through security and the girls got to open little goodie bags that MamaJan prepared for them for the plane ride!

Their first look at a plane close up!!
About to board!!

Our two flight attendants were so nice on this trip and offered to take our picture and talked to the girls about their newly learned surprise and all the fun they were going to have!
Playing with the goodies that MamaJan sent!

The flight attendant brought Katie and Rylie certificates for their first flight and book to log future flights...very cool!
We're at the Orlando Airport!!!
There's our hotel...The Contemporary Resort!
On the balcony...we had a great view of Magic Kingdom and of course, Cinderella's Castle and the Fireworks every night!!

This is our special area for our floor to get unlimited snacks and drinks all day...Rylie and Ryan's favorite part...haha!

The half wall outside of our room door looked down onto the fourth floor which had three restaurants and gift shops.
The back of the hotel view...pool and beach on the lake!

The hotel had huge windows at each end looking out!
The monorails came right trough the hotel on the 4th floor and we hop right on to make a few stops and then go to Magic Kingdom!

There it is...So Exciting!!!

First thing we see when we come in...Celebrate It! Street Party...so fun!!

The Crystal Palace...our first Character Meal with the Winnie the Pooh Gang!!
They liked their personalized autograph books!!
This fun lady played with the girls and showed them how to make a paper hat while we waited for a minute!

The girls loved Piglet!!

Tigger was fun!!

Eeyore had to give Ryan a hug!!
We all love Pooh Bear!!!

That was a lot of fun!!

Headed to the Train Depot for a ride around Magic Kingdom with their cute balloons!

The Castle is beautiful at night...they shine different colored lights and design on it making it just magical!

 Waiting for the Electric Parade!!

Back to the Resort...aren't they cute!

First fireworks and lights show...it was great from our balcony!!
When we heard the music start up, Katie said, "and now there's music...that just makes the whole thing!"

Awesome First Day!!!!
