Born To Be An Aggie

Some people say that our girls are warped, but after this weekend in Aggieland, I just can't picture a better place for their college experience...

 Headed to the game!

The girls with the 12th Man Statue!

It was "Military Appreciation" Day at Kyle Field and we saw President George H.W. Bush inducted into the Honory Corps...very special.

There's Reveille about to lead the team through the tunnel!

The girls were so very excited about their first Aggie Game!!

 The Fightin' Texas Aggie Band!

Gary Sinise was President George H.W. Bush's guest of honor at the game.

 Half Time!!

The Fightin' Texas Aggie Band is so good!

We got to see the "Block T" built with every member of the Corps of Cadets (over 2000 members) for the first time since 1956...so awesome!

The girls wanted to pet Reveille so bad, but it just wasn't going to happen.  Then, they were very jealous when I told them that I had a class with her and got to pet her and take a picture with her.
 Gig' Em!!
Very happy Aggies in the stands after this game!!

Middle of Kyle Field!
Just takin' a walk around the campus...

Love this one!

 My cutie!
The "Century Tree", the famous tree of Texas A&M.
 Me and My Little Ags!

Yummy dinner at Roadhouse after the game!
And if our day wasn't full enough, we surprised the girls with going to see "Happy Feet"!

Isn't that sweeeeeet!

The next morning, we took a drive around the campus and stopped at a few places...
The Association of Former Students had some statues that we had to check out!

We took a walk around the "Bonfire Memorial" to remember those who had fallen during the Bonfire collapse in November of 1999.
We couldn't leave College Station without a little "Freebirds" for lunch!
To top it off, we saw this rainbow on the ride home!!
We had the very best weekend...WHOOP!!

A Lil' Gymnastic Fun!

Rylie and NO Training Wheels...

Today, Rylie decided that she needed to have her training wheels taken off...
It took her about 3 attempts and she was on her own!!
She still has some work to do on take offs and starts, but I think she did excellent for her first day!!

Way to go, RyRy!!

Carousel at the Mall...

If there is a carousel in sight, Rylie wants to ride it...so we did!

We let Katie get her hair curled at one of those kiosks and it turned out so cute!

Jesus' Gift...

On the way to school this week, the girls and I were talking about Christmas being Jesus' birthday.  A couple of minutes after I had mentioned that we celebrate His birthday close to Rylie's, Katie says "Are we His presents when we die?"
It took me a minute to collect my thoughts and said "yes, we sure are!"
We talked about it being God's plan for Jesus to be born, die on the cross for us to go to heaven and then when we believe in Him, we go to heaven...and WE ARE JESUS' GIFT. I'm so amazed at the things that come out of her mouth.

Another Creation...

MamaJan's is the place to create..."PopTart Turkeys"!
