Awesome 1st 9 Weeks...

Well, the first 9 weeks of school is over and at Lakeview Elementary, we have an Awards Assembly to conclude each 9 week period.  Mrs. Bevill chose Katie as one of the Star Students for the 1st 9 Weeks for being such a great helper, a terrific writer and for helping her remember things!

The girls often go to the kitchen and say "Don't come in here!" and I know a surprise is on its way...
This is my surprise from Katie...a hamburger bun with peanut butter, honey, gummies and of course, the beautiful words and picture written right on the plate!!
From Rylie, I received miniature chocolate chip cookies with peanut butter, honey, fruit snacks and decorations on the plate!

Our First Pumpkin Carving

We enjoyed our first family pumpkin carving experience tonight!

Rylie kept getting her handfuls out, but Katie had her share the first handful!
Rylie made sure that we knew that she read a book at school that said you should save, salt and cook the seeds to eat them later! So, we sure did!!
 So exciting!!
 There's the MOUTH!!

My Little Girls

When we drive to school each morning, we turn into the sunrise to go to Rylie's school and we usually talk about the sunrise and the way the clouds look. One morning last week...Katie says "It looks like God stirred up the clouds with a spoon." and Rylie says "It looks like He put in some orange juice and then stirred them up."
I'm sure you can just imagine the way the sky looked that morning!
