Our Little Girls...

I get so busy and don't always take time to document everything, but that doesn't mean that
our girls aren't always doing things to crack us up, make us cringe or most of all...make us proud!!

I'll start off with Rylie Grace. She has learned to blow bubbles with her gum (of which she is so proud) and skip...it is very cute!! She can write so well and remembers so many words that she can write on her own. She just mastered the number 8 and she likes to show everyone!! Rylie really wants to learn to read and is actually surprising us with how much she picks up on as we are working with Katie on our homework and various things! She gets to read every one of Katie's homework books and it makes her feel so big!

Katie and Rylie were playing school and Katie made up these math story problems for Rylie to complete...which she did when Katie read her the questions. I was putting clothes away in their closet just listening away to all of this and was just shocked at what they could do...

Translation: There was 4 Rylies in the garden. 2 Rylies decided to go to pick flowers. How many are left? Then, Rylie answered and wrote 2.

Translation: There was 5 corny dogs. 2 lemonades came and joined. And that makes ___. Rylie answered 7 after adding them up on her fingers. Katie then proceeded to show her how to use the pictures that she had already drawn.

Translation: If there is two cookies in the cookie jar. Mom ate two of the cookies. How many would be left? Rylie answered and wrote 0.

They never cease to amaze me...we're such blessed parents!

As I've said before, Katie is such a deep thinker, as well. The other night after we read our book and sang our songs before bed, Katie said "If babies can't choose to have Jesus come in their heart...can they go to heaven?" I said, yes they go to heaven because God knows their heart and knows that they haven't had the chance to choose Him. So, with a 6 year old and a 4 year old listening and giving input, we had a very meaningful discussion about heaven and faith. This isn't really a new topic, Katie really brings it up often that God is all around us and asks various questions or just enlightens us with her thoughts.

Mom took this picture right outside the back window of their house. The girls thought it was just too cool!!

Fun In The Snow

Well, we are all so excited when the snow started coming down. This is right after it started... ...they couldn't get their warm clothes on fast enough!!
The snowball fighting began!!

They were working hard at teaming up on their daddy!!
The best place for a little snowman...the back porch!

It doesn't fit in around our house if it doesn't wear pink...haha!!

Here's Lucy...seeing snow for the first time in her life!!

So Much Fun!!!

Snaggle #2

Well, Katie hates the name "Snaggle" or "Snaggle Tooth"...but she is!! Right before Christmas, Katie lost her second tooth...
