Swimming Lessons

This past week, Katie had swimming lesssons! She did very well! She finally will go under with no issues and she can actually go somewhere under there as well!! WOOHOO!!

There is her certificate...way to go Katie Mae!!

A Day With Aunt Sunny

We got to spend at great day at the zoo and then swimming with my sister, Sunny, this past Saturday. The carousel was the first thing that caught Rylie's eye!

The girls got a kick out of the huge tortoises. Rylie just kept staring!
The albino crocodile AKA the ghosts of the bayou!

Looks real, huh??
The zoo now has a whole children's area for playing, crafts, and hands on experiences. It was very cool. Here the girls are learning what it feel like to live in a tree.

Making their own tree with fingerpaint and markers!
Feeding the fish...a couple fought for food a little too close and splashed them all! They didn't get quite so close after that!
She can be sweet!!!
Crawling through the tunnel to explore the animal life!
Feeding the birds!! The girls chose worms to feed rather than bird seed. Katie dropped her worms before we got in and Rylie had no problems picking them up one by one for her and putting them back in her container! Katie would have left them...haha!
Aunt Sunny and RyRy feeding together!
Then, the girls got to learn about hardness of rocks from this zoo worker and got to keep a rock!
They drove this jeep right out of the lion habitat!!
Feeding the giraffes!! What a fun treat! This is the first time I've ever seen this set up for the giraffes to get so close!
Chimpanzees...and one was carrying her baby on her tummy...it was the sweetest thing!
We waited all day for this, but we finally made it to the monorail! This little train ride takes you around to see animals that you wouldn't otherwise see from above. The girls really enjoyed it!
Great day at the zoo!
Now we're off to swim at Aunt Sunny's...

Thanks for spending the day with us, Aunt Sunny! We had a great time!
