Cheyenne's Volleyball

We went to Cheyenne's (our 14 yr. old niece) first Volleyball Game of the year this past Thursday. She plays for Canton Junior High and plays really well. She is set up on the rotation to serve first, which means she is consistent and good. Savannah (our 12 yr. old niece) starts her games this Monday, so we look forward to watching her too!!

Gymnastics

Katie started gymnastics today, and man did she do good!!

We are fixing to head off to the gym, but had to pose for a picture first!

She walked right on in the gym without even looking back, she was ready for her class. She went and sat down right where she was supposed to and started doing the stretches. She was definitely the smallest one there. It was just the cutest!!Katie is learning how to do her back-bend here! And her front walk-over here!
They gave "fives" after every little event and said "way to go", and she got a sticker at the end for being such a good girl!!
She can't wait to go back next week!

Pulling Up and The Park

Katie thinks she has to be all over Rylie all the time, unless she is keeping her away from her 'things' that is. Rylie usually doesn't mind though. She has happy squeals when she sees Katie enter the room. It is so sweet!

Rylie is pulling up on everything now and thinks she should be able to walk. She just lets go, she usually plops right down, but she has started to hold herself for a few seconds before falling to her hiney.

She opened and closed her hand (waved) and said "byebye" to Hallie (her cousin that is just a couple of months older than her) this past Sunday. Hallie was saying it, so I guess she thought she should.

We went to the park today, the weather was so nice! Katie and Rylie love being outside and swinging!! Katie 'has" to swing in the big kid swings now, so she pushed Rylie while she waited to go over to the other side where those swings are.

Rainbow

Last night, after our torrential rain shower was a beautiful rainbow right over our house. It was so nice. Katie loved seeing it. It may be the first one she has seen that clear and bright! (even though it's not so bright in the picture)

New Phase

We've entered a new phase in our household with the crawling!
Rylie starts heading fast towards whatever Katie may be playing with and Katie starts guarding it and yelling "No Rylie, it might choke you!" Of course since we've had talks with Katie about leaving small toys out, and they may choke Rylie, she uses it to her own advantage to dictate what she can or cannot play with.

But at the end of the day, they are the most lovable, sweet, precious little girls in the whole world!! (No offense to all the other precious little girls out there)

Update on Amber and Presley

I just wanted to post an update on Amber and Presley. Amber is doing good and Presley as well!! We thank you for your prayers. Presley is coming home from the hospital today. The swelling has already started going down, and she is acting great! She plays, laughs, talks, and lets us know what she wants!! We are so happy and thank God!

Prayer Needed for Amber and Presley

Amber (Presley's Mom) and our 2 yr old niece, Presley were in a car wreck involving and 18 wheeler in Canton yesterday evening. It was bad and Presley was care-flighted to Children's Medical Center in Dallas. She is now in stable condition, but does have a two inch fracture on her skull and has blood on the brain. It is no longer bleeding, but is very swollen. She had stiches put in her baby toe. There are no other bodily injuries. Amber was pretty banged up and has a sprained knee and her toe is cut pretty badly.
I am asking everyone to pray for them both to recover quickly and completely, and Justin (Presley's Dad and Ryan's brother) for support!!

The Deck

We've been wanting a deck at the back of our house for a while now, well ever since we've moved in and it is now underway!! Paul (Ryan's Dad) helped set the posts a few months ago... And the past few days, Ryan has been hard at work!
Katie, of course has to be in on the action, and loves to help her Daddy!!

Rylie just thought she would sit back, chill, and eat a popsicle while they did all the work!!

Just about Finished!! Didn't Ryan do a good job!

Rylie Can Crawl

Last night, Rylie finally took her first Crawling Steps!! She has been getting on all fours for about a week and a half rocking back and forth, and last night she did it. It is just amazing to watch them grow and learn new things.

Sweet Little Story

Well, on Wednesday Ryan was leaving to go on a trip to Marble Falls for a Boat Races Event with the Concession Trailer, and Rylie was the sweetest! He was about to leave and I was holding Rylie, and he looked at her and said "I will miss you," and right then she looked at him patted his chest and said "dada" and reached for him. He took her and she gave him the tightest little hug with both arms around his neck and her head pressed to his shoulder and neck and then sat back up, and reached for me. Needless to say, Ryan was touched!!

Library Day and Playing In The Rain

We went to the Library for the first time, well Katie and Rylie's first time, of course - I have been before! Katie thought it was pretty fun and can't wait to go back and get more books. They have a big rug and a cute table and chairs where you can sit and read. She is an expert on how it all works now, you know. "You don't get to keep the books, you check them out and go home and read them, then take them back and go get some more", she says.

And of course, it seems like it rains just about everyday and Katie loves to play in it. So, here is a couple of pics of that!
